PT-141 melanocortin research context
PT-141, also called bremelanotide, is an alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone analogue investigated in melanocortin signaling research. A 2004 primary study in female rats examined distinct behavioral endpoints after PT-141 exposure. The investigators reported selective changes in solicitation behavior without generalized motor activation. These animal-model findings describe a particular experiment, not a promised effect of this vial or evidence that the material is suitable for human use.
What to verify before ordering
The product lists 10 mg total material in a 3 mL vial. The container size does not specify solution concentration. For analytical or receptor-model work, request the current PT-141 lot documentation from SRP and review identity, measured peptide content and the analytical method. Literature references provide research context; batch-specific documentation addresses the supplied material.
For laboratory research only. Not for human or animal use, consumption, administration, diagnosis, treatment, or therapeutic application.
