How it works
Proposed actions include effects on androgen-related pathways. A plausible laboratory mechanism does not demonstrate symptom relief.
Simplified mechanism map. It does not represent a proven treatment outcome.
What the evidence can tell us
Well-conducted studies have generally found little or no benefit for urinary symptoms from benign prostate enlargement. It should not be presented as proven bladder-control support.
Safety and important limits
Urinary symptoms need appropriate evaluation. Stomach upset or headache can occur; use during pregnancy or breastfeeding may be unsafe.
