Tesamorelin + Ipamorelin Blend
Quick summary
A blend that pairs a GHRH analog (tesamorelin) with a ghrelin-receptor agonist (ipamorelin), which act on two separate receptor pathways for growth-hormone release. Research focus: GH secretagogue synergy and pituitary signaling. This page leads with SRP's low-and-slow starting dose.
Component structures:

Amino acid sequence (one-letter code): AHFFK
Overview
A blend that pairs a GHRH analog (tesamorelin) with a ghrelin-receptor agonist (ipamorelin), which act on two separate receptor pathways for growth-hormone release.

Mechanism
This blend combines its components, each acting through its own pathway. See the linked component pages for how each one works.
Research areas
- GH secretagogue synergy
- pituitary signaling
Storage & reconstitution
Supplied as a freeze-dried (lyophilized) powder in a sealed vial. Unopened vials are generally kept cold and away from light. Labs usually reconstitute it with bacteriostatic or sterile water, letting the liquid run down the vial wall and swirling gently instead of shaking. The solution is then kept refrigerated.
Recommended starting dose (low and slow)
| Starting dose | Starting low and holding for one to two weeks before stepping up, but gives no numeric starting draw for the blend. Component reference amounts: tesamorelin 1-2 mg and ipamorelin 200-300 mcg. |
|---|---|
| Frequency | Once daily by subcutaneous injection, often in the evening; typical cycle 8-16 weeks. |
| Reconstitution | For the supplier's two blend ratios: add 3 mL bacteriostatic water to either vial - the 10/3 mg vial (10 mg tesamorelin + 3 mg ipamorelin) gives about 4.33 mg/mL total, and the 5/5 mg vial gives about 3.33 mg/mL total. |
Studied higher doses
Studies have used doses up to the amounts below. Higher doses can be dangerous. Whether a person can reach them safely depends on height, weight, activity level, training and pre-existing conditions. We recommend following the lower starting dose above, and contacting SRP with any questions.
| Highest amount reported in studies | No ceiling for the blend; component reference ranges only: tesamorelin 1-2 mg once daily and ipamorelin 200-300 mcg once or twice daily. No human trial has tested the two as a blend. |
|---|---|
| Step-up schedules reported | Gradual: start low, hold a week or two, then step up. No step schedule is given; sample draws shown are 10, 20 or 30 units. |
